Hyphens, en- and em-dashes

Lazy use of punctuation takes the edge off professional writing. It’s one of those things: correct punctuation goes unnoticed, but when it’s wrong — like using hyphens instead of en- and em-dashes — your content looks unprofessional or, at best, lazy .
